The ferry does not run empty from the mainland unless there are vehicles waiting on the island. Do not take for granted that the ferry will make a run on the half hour to the Island. Call (207) 655-4258 five minutes before the scheduled run. Even if you are second or third in line, make that call (or check with the cars ahead of you). The Ferry is only accepting CASH or CHECKS.

- Please properly dispose of your pet droppings.
- A Leash must be used on public roads and areas.
- Dogs are not allowed on FI beaches between 10AM & 5PM
USE OF BEACHES
Open Fires Prohibited
Trash must be placed in appropriate containers, where provided. Alternatively, please carry out all trash.
No personal items may be left overnight or unattended. Subject to removal.
No launching of motorized boats from any beaches.
Boats may not be tied off against trees.
Noise must be kept at a reasonable level, keeping in mind that there may be people on the beach or in neighboring cottages who desire peace and quiet.
All motor vehicles prohibited on beaches.
Beaches are patrolled by the Cumberland County Sheriff Dept.

SECURITY REGULATIONS
NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED.
Laws of the State of Maine apply to all residents of Frye Island.
Speed Limit is 20 miles per hour.
Quiet hours are 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Visitors, renters and property owners are asked to refrain from boisterous or noisy activity during these hours.
Drunk drivers will be prosecuted
No unauthorized boats allowed on Frye Island Beaches.
No bonfires or unauthorized burning.
WATERCRAFT SPEED
No person shall operate a watercraft at a speed greater than headway speed while within the water safety zone or within a marina or approved anchorage in coastal or inland waters. "Headway speed means the minimum speed necessary to maintain steerage and control of the watercraft while the watercraft is moving. The "safety zone" is the area of water within 200 feet of any shoreland whether the shoreline of the mainland or of an island. This also applies to jet skis.
